Our Posture
We are not a church growth model.
We don't believe every healthy church will be large, every growing church is healthy, or every faithful church will look the same. And we aren't interested in giving leaders another successful church to imitate.
We believe something more foundational comes first.
Clarity.
Where We Begin
Churches rarely become healthier by accident.
- 01Clarity about what Christ has entrusted to his Church.
- 02Clarity about who your church is, what you believe, and the particular assignment you have been given in your place and season.
- 03Clarity about what is healthy, what has drifted, what needs attention, and what may need to change.
Over time, what a church believes, how its leaders behave, how people are formed, how decisions are made, and how mission is carried forward can gradually move out of alignment. Often nothing is dramatically wrong. Good people are working hard. Ministries are happening. Sundays keep coming.
But something feels harder than it should.
ALIGN helps leaders get beneath the activity and see what is actually happening.
Not simply, How can we grow?
But, Are we healthy? Are we clear? Are we aligned? And what would greater faithfulness look like in the season ahead?
That is where revitalization begins.
The Vocabulary
Four words, in order
Clarity enables alignment. Alignment contributes to health. Health creates the conditions for genuine revitalization.

What has Christ entrusted, and what is our particular assignment?
- 02Alignment
Do our theology, leadership, pathways, systems, and mission actually cohere?
- 03Health
Is that alignment producing a church capable of faithfully carrying its stewardship?
- 04Revitalization
What happens as health is recovered where it has been weakened or lost.
Revitalization Without the Formula
The outcome cannot always be predicted. The responsibility can.
A healthier church is a better goal.
A clearer church is a better goal.
A church increasingly aligned with what Christ has entrusted to it is a better goal.
The word revitalization can easily suggest a turnaround strategy: do these things, make these changes, and your church will grow again. That's not what we mean. We understand revitalization more deeply as the recovery of healthy life within a church.
Sometimes that will lead to numerical growth. Sometimes it will require pruning. It may mean recovering theological clarity, rebuilding trust, simplifying ministries, developing leaders, strengthening governance, creating a clearer discipleship pathway, reconnecting with the surrounding community, or finally confronting something everyone knows is no longer working.
We can faithfully steward what Christ has placed in our hands. Growth can be celebrated when God gives it, but growth is not something leaders can manufacture and should never become the final measure of a church's faithfulness.
ALIGN isn't about making churches bigger. It's about helping churches become healthier, clearer, and more faithful.
